W+K NY Production

As Wieden+Kennedy New York’s Head of Production for over a decade, Gary oversaw all TV and Interactive work while managing the broadcast and interactive production departments, business affairs, and the post production facility, Joint Editorial.  Clients included:  ESPN, Jordan, Nike, Delta Airlines, and Heineken.

It all started with ESPN’s iconic This is SportsCenter campaign.

Interactive Production

As the industry grappled with integrated production departments, W+K was producing experiential work like Human Twitter for XGames, an interactive storefront for Monday Night Football, pop-up rock concerts for Heineken, and projection mapping water curtains for Brand Jordan.

Advertising Age named Beta-7 “one of the best campaigns of the decade”.

W+K Entertainment

Overseeing all work for W+K Entertainment out of the New York office, Gary produced and EP’d music videos for Mos Def and Common, EP’d the TV documentary Feel Your Heart Race directed by Doug Pray (Hype!), and produced the feature documentary The Sweet Science. He also wrote and developed a feature fashion documentary By a Thread with Adam Del Deo/Jim Stern (Every Little Step) and shot a pilot on modernist architecture, Drive By Modernism, with Marc Santo (Revel in New York).

The Sweet Science, directed by Brett Morgen (Curt Cobain: Montage of Heck, The Kid Stays in the Picture)
